Coming 6th August

Twenty Eight was born as a more relaxed, accessible counterpart to Chef’s Table — a place where we could take a different approach, while still holding true to our values around great food and thoughtful sourcing. From the outset, small plates helped define that difference — giving us space to experiment and showcase the kind of creative cooking that didn’t need to follow a set structure. It allowed Jay to develop his style in real time — working with small-batch ingredients, responding to the seasons, and building a menu that evolved constantly.

That spontaneity has brought so many exciting moments to the table — but it’s also meant that a favourite dish might disappear after just a week or two, never to be seen again. We know many of you love the sharing-style experience — but we've also heard from guests who find the format a little unclear. Portion sizes can be tricky to navigate, and not everyone wants to pass everything across the table. More and more, guests have been asking for their meal to follow a more traditional flow — something familiar, structured, and a little easier to settle into. With so many other excellent tapas and small plates options now available across the city, we've realised its our cooking - and not the menu format -  that sets us apart.

After two years — and some truly incredible milestones, from national reviews to awards — this feels like the right time to turn the page. A chance to simplify the menu, elevate the experience, and focus on what we do best. From 6th August, we’ll be moving to a three-course menu format. You’ll still find everything you’ve come to love about the food at Twenty Eight — the same produce, the same seasonal focus, and Jay’s unmistakable style — now expressed through a menu that brings clarity, balance, and a stronger sense of identity to every dish.

The new menu keeps its heart in the same place — rooted in Field 28 produce and the best of the season — with a stronger focus on British flavours, returning favourites, and comforting classics reimagined through our lens. It’s a little more grown-up,  little more structured, with fewer frequent changes, and thoughtful daily specials that keep things feeling fresh and spontaneous. The dining room will evolve too — softer touches, a more classic wine list, and some great-value options to make things feel special without being over the top. Our dinner service will remain a la carte, and we'll be serving a brand new lunch offer of two courses for £28.

We hope you’ll join us for this next chapter — same spirit, new rhythm.
